Re:.FREE. Uploadable Canadian Topographic Maps for Garmins I finally got the Topo Canada V4 set up and it seems pretty similar (from a visual perspective) to the Topo Canada V2. I prefer the basic greyscale colors of this over the Ibycus mapset. Do you need full colour contour maps for the Garmin Fenix 5x and dont want to pay full price for topo maps on the Fenix 5x. Then check out this tutorial on how to install Topo maps on the Garmin Fenix 5x. All you have to do is follow these step by step instructions for installing the maps.

I’ve installed some third party ski resort maps onto my 5+, if I go into the “Map” app settings Configure Maps, i can turn off the stock maps and turn on the ski map. If i go back out of settings I can see ski resort map fine. However, if I then go into a sport mode (eg. “ski” activity tracking), when i’m in there i just get the stock map again, there’s no option to pick which maps are enabled from there. It looks like i can either have 3rd party maps, or activity tracking, but not both at the same time.
