Sasural Simar Ka – the show that started with the theme of ‘women empowerment’ by highlighting the fact that women should follow their dreams even after their marriage – soon turned into an unrealistic and unimaginable drama. After a successful run of 6 years the show will now bid adieu to its fans next month. During its journey the show has been full of bizarre story lines. Here is a compilation of some unbelievable story lines from the show that will make you doubt your existence on this planet.
When Roli is not Roli but an Ichhadhari Nagin: When Avika Gor decided to quit the show, TV actress Sara Khan was brought in and the build up, was that she was the new Roli. But as the story progressed, viewers came to know that Roli was not real Roli but in real, she was an Ichhadhari Nagin (Shape shifter) who had come to take away her husband Siddhant (Manish Raisinghan). Later, real Roli finally gets the 'trishul' (trident) from some random Aghori Babas and kills the Ichhadhari Nagin aka fake Roli.
This really happened in this TV series. Too much of confusion.
Dayan to attack Simar and Prem in ‘Sasural Simar Ka’: From Icchadaari Naagin to Paatali Devi, this show has done it all. The makers brought in Kaliyon Ka Chaman fame Meghna Naidu to play Patali Devi who possesses Simar and wants to kill Prem. By the way, apart from magic tricks, Patali Devi also does amazing dance. After Naagin and Patali Devi, the makers introduced a Daayan in the house. Late TV actress, Pratyusha Banarjee, played Mohini a dayan in 'Sasural Simar Ka' who was out there to attack Prem and Simar.
