It's more like 15 or 20 years old, and it was popular enough to get at least two parodies (Deer Avenger and Deer's Revenge), the former of which got at least two sequels. I had one of the parodies as a kid, and we're talking mid-late 90's here, because I remember the Redneck Rampage games always being kept in the same general area in the stores, and with those being Build engine games, that kind of dates things.Googled 'Deer hunter original game', got wikipedia page, which got me the title of the very first game (Deer Hunter: Interactive Hunting Experience) as well as a release date. And that got me amazon page and let's play. I'll have to leave you to find your own torrents/less overpriced copy, but this should point you in the right direction.
